Spraying any type of paint indoors ideally requires some kind of extraction system. However, if you’re spraying 2K/solvent-based paints and lacquers then extraction is a must. Breathing in any paint mist (containing isocyanates) is directly linked to many cases of asthma (see HSE website for more details). ‘Water-based’ does not mean ‘isocyanate-free’, just that it is emulsion based and has reduced levels of solvents.
Fumex can supply and install a range of cost-effective paint fume extraction units, from single to multiple units depending on the size of your paint room/area. Our units will quickly extract the surrounding air, passing it through a filter media and then the cleaned air is vented to atmosphere via an external cowl.
Depending on the paint type used (eg. water or solvent based) the powerful in-line fan may be ATEX rated if required. Both the unit and ducting are manufactured in galvanised steel for strength and durability. Our units require very little maintenance and use industry standard sized Paintstop filter media for quick and easy filter replacement.
All our paint fume extraction systems are all designed to meet the minimum 30 air changes per hour specification, whatever the size of the room/area you have. Every system is installed by our own experienced engineers and fully commissioned ready for use.
