The main advantage to a Free Flowing Vertical Weather Cowl with integrated Rain Flap or Jet Cowl is that the extracted fumes / gases are expelled vertically away from the building. Any rainwater or snow that collects in the internal dish, is then safely drained away via a drainage tube.
