The mixture of airborne particles/fumes and hot gases produced by the weld fume process makes them particularly dangerous to anyone working with them, unless they are safely captured before being inhaled by the operator.
Anyone who welds indoors, as part of their profession or employment must now by law use LEV to capture the fumes at source.
Fumex Ltd supply and install a wide range of weld fume extraction arms from 1.5 metre Flexi Arms to 9 metre Flexi Crane Arms. We can provide both internal and external support extraction arms for many different types of industry. They are all designed to capture welding fumes at source and vent them to atmosphere via a high-performance centrifugal fan and Jet-Cowl. If the process includes grinding dust, the arms must be ducted to a centralised filter unit. We also have a range of mobile and portable filtration units for additional flexibility.
